Is it now really hard to navigate your watch list, or is it just me? πŸ€” I used to look at all the your deviations in my watch list and could hover over the 'favorite' button and a dropdown would list my favorite folders, then I'd click the one I wanted to add your work to and click the 'remove from' button and the next deviation in my watchlist would pop up ready for faving (or not)... 2 Clicks 😁 To do the same now, I have to click an arrow to open the next deviation, click the 'add to favorites' button then on 'change collection' button, click on my chosen collection and on the 'featured' collection to take it out of there and then on the 'done' button... Then to remove the deviation from my watch list I have to go back to the main watchlist page and click remove on all the deviations that I've looked at... πŸ˜“ It's become so time consuming now that it's starting to feel like a chore instead of the daily exploration of your minds eye that I've enjoyed for the last 13 years. My watchlist is growing at an alarming rate as I don't have time to deal with it all and the other parts of my life that need my time too. It's almost like someone doesn't want us to make art. 🀨 I can see many artists losing watchers, not because they are no longer interesting, just people trying to shrink their workload. I can see artists getting less faves just because it's easier to click remove in the main watchlist page than go through the click-a-thon that it has become... 😴 I'd love to know if you feel that this new style site is better than it was, and that I'm doing something dumb to make it this awkward... πŸ€ͺ Please change my mind... 🀐

As some of you know, I have spent the last two of years recovering from a couple of strokes (7 major events and 11 TIAs), plus heart surgery to correct the issue...  during this time I have rendered a lot of fractal images in Mandelbulb3D and I rendered them all to one folder. I am going to start uploading them to my gallery a few at a time now that I have adequate motor skills to add my sig in Photoshop ... :)

Most of them are my own work - I hope you like them ... :D

Some of them are tweaks of other people's work - In these cases the originals must have spoke to me in some way, technical or artistically or both or more. Thank you for sharing your   art and thank you for providing parameters for others to tweak and learn from. Naturally, I will always try my best to credit the original artist and a lot of them are labelled, but some are not. If you see something that you believe is a tweak of your original piece please comment with a link to the original and I will correct the mistake immediately.
I have some images in the folder that are complete re-renders of the original piece so that it will fit my the new monitor that my wife bought as a 'Thank you for not dying..' present.

As with the tweaks, most of them are properly labelled but some are not. If I inadvertently upload one of your fractals as my own work, please contact me straight away and I will take it down immediately. I would never want to take credit for someone else's work, and it is only in that folder because I liked it so much I needed to see it all the time as my desktop wallpaper.

I will try to avoid any mistakes and I am double-checking every image with TinEye before I upload, I don't know how effective this will be because of resizing and occasional minor light/colour changes but I thought it would help.

If any do sneak through I am very sorry, please bear in mind that I have holes in my brain where memories should be, and I just learned to write my own name.

Thank you for listening... :D

... for all your kind words on my previous journal. It is still quite difficult to type, and sitting upright for any length of time hurts like hell. That's why I'm thanking you all here, rather than individually.

I am trying to Fractalize, but my concentration is shot. I feel like I'm gonna have to relearn a whole lot of stuff, I am getting by with Mandelbulb, but I can't remember how to install and set up Apo. I try to read instructions and tutorials but then my brain just stands in the corner and cries. I decided on a full fresh install after I had built my supercomputer and now I have no idea how to set up all my MIDI controllers to work with Ableton, so I haven't even installed the program yet.

But I am making progress... slowly and I am sure to be back to normal eventually. The hardest part is the boredom, I have so many things to do and that would occupy my mind but my hands are still pretty useless at the finer details. I can swing a hammer but I wouldn't hold the nail :D

Today I'm going to fit a new cat-flap as the furry fuckwits have broken the one they have. I know it's going to take all day instead of the 10-15 mins it took last time, but I have to keep doing stuff so that I can form new pathways in my brain. I saw my brain scan and it looks like a dalmatian.

To add insult to injury, this week I have had quite a harsh dose of flu which has left me unable to hear anything. So I can't even lose myself in some righteous tunage.

FML! Did I say that already?

So ... On November 28th I had heart surgery to fix a hole that was letting blood clots reach my brain, causing strokes. I have had 15 strokes since April 30th all on my right side.

The surgery was a complete success, the hole is closed. So no more clots = no more strokes.

However, during surgery they dislodged an pre-existing clot which went to my brain and I had another stroke. :O

On my left side

I am basically rhubarb at this point.

Confused ...

2 min read
I seem to remember that when I bought my first membership, 10 years ago, suddenly I had more deviations per page, instead of about 20. I thought that was one of the advantages along with no ads and some chatroom and thumbnail type privileges.

I have just bought a core membership after about a year without one and the number of deviations per page hasn't gone up. More deviations per page was one of the main reasons to renew my membership.

Did something change, or am I remembering it all wrong?
